Next week marks the 51st Annual National Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week, a time to celebrate and honor the vital roles played by paramedics, emergency medical technicians, registered nurses, and emergency medical dispatchers who assist those calling 9-1-1 during medical emergencies.
This year’s theme, — “We Care. For Everyone.” — is especially relevant for Hall Ambulance’s EMS crews, who serve as a safety net for all individuals, regardless of age, background, or circumstances. Whether responding to a grandmother suffering a stroke, a family involved in a motor vehicle accident on State Route 99, a businessman experiencing sudden cardiac arrest, or someone facing an overdose on the street, everyone deserves care in a medical emergency.
Locally, Hall Ambulance is taking the opportunity to honor its EMS crews and support staff with its Annual EMS Week Family Picnic. Additionally, every employee will receive a Hall Ambulance cooler backpack, designed for EMS crews to store their refreshments, meals, and snacks while on duty.
As the 9-1-1 paramedic provider for 94% of Kern County’s population, Hall Ambulance relies on a vast support team to ensure that its EMS crews are equipped and ready to respond to any situation, day or night. This includes vehicle technicians who maintain the fleet of emergency vehicles, supply technicians who stock ambulances with medical supplies and equipment before each shift, ambulance detailers who keep the vehicles looking their best, and numerous staff members handling daily administrative tasks. Together, the more than 450 employees of Hall Ambulance are dedicated to meeting every request for ambulance service in the communities it serves.
