Hall Ambulance Service, Inc. announced today the promotion of Mark Corum to Vice President of Marketing and Brand Strategy. In this new leadership role, Corum will enhance his responsibilities for promoting and protecting the Hall Ambulance brand through corporate communications, media relations, social media, marketing, and advertising efforts. He also serves as the editor of
The HallMark, now in its 30th year of publication.
Corum is enthusiastic about joining the executive team, and the opportunity to build upon his 29-year relationship with Hall Ambulance. “I am fortunate to have been mentored by Mr. Hall, who established the principles of creating a recognizable brand when he founded the company in 1971,” said Corum. “From the bold, italicized ‘HALL’ to the signature Omaha Orange paint scheme on our fleet of ambulances, both have stood the test of time, and I am committed to carrying forward his expectations.”
Throughout his career, Corum has produced several high-profile projects while receiving industry accolades for his dedication to telling the story of Hall Ambulance. Last year, he won gold in the Telly Awards’ Online Recruitment Category as producer and screenwriter for the Hall EMT Academy commercial titled “Don’t Just Watch the Action.”
In 2021, he authored and produced a 223-page coffee table book, “It Started on a Dare,” which serves as a tribute to Hall Ambulance’s 50th Anniversary, its founder, and the Hall family.
At the 2020 Founder’s Awards, Mrs. Hall recognized him with the HLH Standards Award for embodying her husband’s ideals of care, compassion, and community.
In 2017, Mr. Hall presented Corum with the Founder’s Award for Management Excellence due to his exemplary leadership and commitment to the ambulance services industry. His contributions were further acknowledged when he was named a Star of Life by the California Ambulance Association.
Following the September 11 attacks, Mr. Hall tasked Corum with designing a lasting tribute to the paramedics and EMTs who lost their lives that day. Proceeds from the worldwide sale of lapel pins and bumper stickers featuring his design benefited an 8-year-old boy whose EMT mother died in the Twin Towers collapse.
In 2007, Corum received the Outstanding Performance in EMS Award from the County of Kern EMS Department for developing a three-part series with NBC affiliate KGET TV17, titled “EMS 24/7,” which aired during National EMS Week.
Corum has also been an active advocate for raising awareness and funds to support medical research on Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD), which claimed Mr. Hall’s life in 2018. Working alongside Mrs. Hall, they co-hosted Strides for CJD – Bakersfield and led Team Big H in Memory of Harvey L. Hall. Their team has been recognized as the CJD Foundation’s Top Fundraising Team for seven consecutive years, raising over half a million dollars. They have collaborated with county, state, and federal legislators to promote further awareness of CJD, including a Congressional Resolution in 2023 and 2024 designating November 12 as CJD Awareness Day in the United States.
Corum holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communications (Magna Cum Laude), and an Associate of Arts in Business Administration from American InterContinental University.
