“My CJD Journey” premiered at the CJD Foundation's CJD Family Conference in Washington, D.C., on July 21, 2024. The film chronicles the exhaustive efforts of Lavonne C. Hall, who stood up to fight Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (after losing her husband to the sporadic form in 2018) by working with legislators, as a fundraiser whose Strides for CJD – Bakersfield event has raised nearly a half-million dollars, and as a grant funder supporting six medical research grants to date.
