Ambulance Operations
The Ambulance Operations Division encompasses our ground medical transportation services, including ALS and BLS ambulances, paramedic field supervisors, paramedic quick response units, and critical care transport.

Advanced Life Support (ALS)
Our ALS ambulance, staffed by a paramedic and emergency medical technician, provides the highest level of on-scene patient care. Each ALS ambulance is stocked with state-of-the-art technology, medical supplies, medications, and equipment.

Basic Life Support (BLS)
Staffed by dual EMTs, these ambulances respond to non-life-threatening emergencies and are stocked with basic life support medical equipment and supplies.

Paramedic Field Supervisor
These first responders provide field support to the paramedics and EMTs in the field. Their large SUVs are outfitted with the same equipment and medical supplies carried on our ALS ambulances.

9-1-1 Emergency Medical Services
Paramedic First Responder
This innovative program was developed between Kern County Public Health and Hall Ambulance during the COVID-19 pandemic. A paramedic quick response vehicle is a smaller SUV staffed with one paramedic and stocked with a full complement of ALS equipment. These resources are strategically located in the community for rapid paramedic response and assessment. Suppose it is determined that only basic life support care is required. In that case, the patient is handed off to a basic life support ambulance for transport, allowing the paramedic to remain available in the community. If the patient requires an advanced level of care, the paramedic will accompany the patient to the hospital in the responding basic life support ambulance.Hall Critical Care Transport
When a patient’s care requires transport to another healthcare facility with minimal disruption of treatment, Hall CCT provides regional interfacility transport solutions.
Hall CCT is staffed with a specialized medical team, including Registered Nurses, paramedics, and EMTs who work as an extension of the hospital team. Our spacious, specially configured CCT ground unit can easily accommodate specialized medical teams needing to accompany their patients during transport. Functioning as a mobile intensive care unit, Hall CCT is equipped with a modern cardiac monitor, multi-line infusion pumps, and a ventilator.

Event EMS Standbys
Communications Center
Hall Ambulance’s Communications Center operates 24/7, working cooperatively with Kern County’s Emergency Communications Center (ECC), and is responsible for processing every 9-1-1 ambulance request for medical aid throughout Kern County. Each call to the communications center is carefully reviewed and processed to determine whether or not an emergency response is needed. Each dispatcher is CPR certified and has successfully obtained their National and Kern County emergency medical dispatcher (EMD) certifications. These skills ensure that each dispatcher has completed the proper training and skills required to give patients lifesaving instructions before an ambulance’s arrival.
Since 2011, Hall Ambulance’s Communications Center has been recognized as an ACE Accredited Center of Excellence by the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch, the highest distinction for compliance with the Medical Priority Dispatch System (MPDS) 20 Points of Excellence.
