Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Renewal Course

The ACLS Renewal course is a one day course intended to update the provider in the management of acute MI, cerebrovascular accident, cardiac arrest and associated treatment protocols. Participants are guided through various teaching stations covering treatment modalities, airway management, and recognition of life threatening dysrhythmias.

Upon successful completion of the written and practical test, the student will receive an American Heart Association ACLS recognition card valid for 2 years and up to 14 hours of continuing education units.

Prerequisites

This course is recommended for paramedics, nurses, respiratory therapists and physicians maintaining a current ACLS provider card. Having a current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (CPR) card is strongly recommended. Students must complete all pre-course material prior to the beginning of class.

Required Materials

Course fee includes your required textbook. Textbooks are available at 2001 “O” Street or the can be mailed with two weeks prior notice.

Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association.
