Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) Combined Provider Course
Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) is recognized around the world as the leading Continuing Education program for prehospital emergency trauma care, per the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT). This course was created in recognition of the real need in EMS education for additional training in the handling of trauma patients. This 2-day course promotes critical thinking and shares trauma care techniques in an innovative format. The course uses the new 2011 standards in prehospital trauma care using lectures and hands-on skill sessions such as extrication, immobilization and more. It is designed to enhance the knowledge and skill of first responders, EMTs, paramedics and nurses.

Prerequisites
PHTLS is designed for prehospital and emergency providers at all levels from the first responders, EMTs, paramedics, nurses, and physicians. The course is challenging and successful completion will be difficult without you having actual patient care experience.
Required Materials
7th Edition PHTLS Textbook and complete and bring the completed PHTLS Pre-test on the first day of class.
PHTLS 7th edition textbook is not included in the course fees. Text can be purchased through Hall prior to the beginning of class in order to complete the required readings due by the first day of class.
